From Jacques Brel to Édith Piaf, from Zaz to Stromae: you can expect everything during the finals of the Concours de la Chanson, the annual hunt for artists who dare to sing in French.

The competition, organised by the Alliance Française, has proven to be the perfect springboard for launching a chanson career for many Dutch and Flemish artists including Wende Snijders, Alderliefste and the Zazí trio.

The mission of this performance has remained the same for 35 years: to touch and move the audience with the power and beauty of French-language music regardless of whether it is a traditional or modern chanson.
