Breaking the Walls bike tour
Local residents will introduce internationals to some lesser-known spots in The Hague’s neighbourhoods during the afternoon Breaking the Walls bike tour on Sunday, 19 May.
You will visit the lovely Jacobahof where a local resident will show the group around and describe the rich history of this place and the unique character of the community living there. You will visit the small scale city farm and exchange ideas about connecting different neighbourhoods and networks in The Hague.
The group will then go to the Hip Hop Centre of The Hague. The centre will talk about the initiative to help local youth who are interested in hip hop music, dance or street art (graffiti). The group will attend a rehearsal and take a peek in the recording studio.
The next stop is the lovely Van Ostade complex in the Schilderswijk and then on to the 125-year old Ladies’ Reading Museum in the Archipel district. The afternoon will finish with cake served with tea and coffee in a private home.
Take your own bike
This special bike tour is organised by the Stichting BBIS in cooperation with The Hague International Network for internationals living in The Hague. The Breaking the Walls bike tour will be held from 14.00 to 17.00 hrs. on Sunday, 19 May and will start at the Jacobahof (Jacobastraat 266) in The Hague.
Tickets for this event cost € 22.50 per person and includes a lunchtime snack and cake with tea and coffee.
